Taster Sessions
At the start of the season, we offer taster sessions for anyone who’s interested in giving bowls a try, even if you’re not a member yet. Our coaches are available to teach you the basics, and we provide sets of bowls for you to borrow – all you need to do is come along and have fun!
Coaching
New members can enjoy a series of coaching sessions, where you'll learn the techniques, rules, and etiquette of the game in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Practice Sessions
Members are welcome to use the green anytime, except when a match is on. Whether you want to practice on your own or join others, feel free to turn up, improve your skills, and stay for as long as you like!
Club Days
Every Monday afternoon during the summer season, we hold organised roll-up games. As members arrive, we’ll match you into teams – no need to book in advance!
The games start at 2 pm.
If you fancy it, for just £2 you can enjoy tea and biscuits which are served during the break.
Matches, competitions and championships

Friendly Matches
We regularly play friendly matches against local bowls clubs across East Sussex, both at home and away. It’s a great way to meet new people and enjoy some fun, relaxed competition!

International Competitions
We host a range of competitions for ladies, men, and mixed teams, including singles, pairs, triples, and rinks. The excitement all leads up to our Finals Weekend in early September – a highlight of the season!

Local and National Championships
We take part in local, County, and National Knockout Championships, competing at every level for some exciting and challenging matches!
Social events and supporting local charities
Our committee organizes a fantastic range of social events throughout the year, including coffee mornings, raffles, Christmas parties, quiz nights and even a day out at Brighton Dogs. There’s always something to enjoy and bring our members together!
Beyond the fun, these events play a vital role in supporting our club and helping to raise much-needed funds.
